About the event

Join us for a compelling presentation with Dustin Money, senior extracorporeal life support (ECLS) specialist at the University of Virginia, as he explores the evolving landscape of ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) and the critical role of the ELSO Registry in driving quality improvement across institutions.

With over 20 years of experience in respiratory therapy and critical care, Dustin has played a pivotal role in advancing UVA’s ECMO program to achieve international recognition. His presentation will cover key growth trends in ECMO utilization, data-driven insights from the ELSO Registry, and the importance of registry-based quality initiatives in improving outcomes for cardiac and respiratory patients.

Dustin’s background includes extensive contributions to NIH-funded research, graduate medical education, and quality committee leadership. As both a clinician and a cardiac surgery patient, he brings a unique and personal perspective to this work—championing compassionate, evidence-based care.
